Team Pahinga goes to Mt. Maculot in Cuenca, Batangas. Date of climb was from November 12 to 13, 2011. Since most of us came from a night shift, we started our climb in the afternoon and arrived at the campsite around 7pm. The trail was part grassy but mostly forest area while the trek was average(for me), most of them steep ascents but the reward was a great view from the rockies. I've read online that the view from this mountain was good but I never thought it was going to be that awesome.. The rockies gave an unobstructed view or Taal Volcano and Lake, even better that the view from Tagaytay, unfornately I was not able to shoot the sunset and sunrise from the summit of Mt.Maculot, the view from the rockies was more than enough. I even managed to shoot a thunderstorm and got to stargaze as well.
